If I cannot fly, let me sing! (Avengers team free for all!)

After saving the world (or at least the city) for the tenth time, what is a group of superheroes to do to celebrate? In Clint Barton’s mind there was only one way: Karaoke. Dinner out had been done to death, and most of them had fallen asleep at the theatre so this time they needed something lively and with lots of alcohol available. Sure, they could have had their own private karaoke party at Avengers Tower, but Clint had convinced them that half the fun of it was getting up in front of a bar full of strangers and making idiots out or themselves. Thor and Tony had agreed easily enough, but the rest he was convinced had eventually only given in to shut him up.

He might have also threatened like only a stealthy sniper could do and actually back up.

They had started the party at the tower with Tony’s ample liquor supply, then continued it in the car before they all finally spilled into the chosen bar already half in the bag. Well, some of them, at least.

“So who’s first?” Clint asked with a wide smile, picking up one of the songbooks off the table as they all crammed themselves into a booth.

The song definitely had him pumped, and Clint probably could have kept singing all night if he didn’t have to share the stage, but when Tony got up to take his turn the archer gladly gave over the microphone. The only thing better than showing off was getting to watch others humiliate themselves by doing the same. It was going to be a good night.

Tossing the mic to Tony, Clint hopped off the stage and made his way to the bar for more drinks. He may have gotten distracted by some fine ladies on the way, but not enough so that he missed Stark’s performance. He made sure to cheer the billionaire on throughout.

Then it was Thor’s turn and for a moment the entire bar went silent. When the local patrons had decided to go out tonight, none of them could have ever expected what they were in for. A wave of excitement had rushed over the whole establishment when Tony Stark took the stage, and now he was calling for the God of Thunder himself.

A woman at the edge of the stage actually fainted.

Having drank his earlier opponent under the table, Thor stepped up on stage, smiling broadly. He jovially slung an arm around Tony when he reached him, practically dwarfing the other man. “I am afraid I do not know any of your music, my friend, but I must commend you and our brothers in arms on such lively performances!”

He clapped for the three previous singers and the crowd went apeshit.

Steve was impressed by the way that Thor seemed to just effortlessly join in at any given situation. Maybe it came from being a prince or something along those lines. Either way, Steve knew well enough to stay away from the stage while Thor was up there. The crowd of women would press in a little too close for comfort. But that did leave some convenient room back at the bar.

He listened as Thor opted for one of his own people's songs, not needing a prompter to remember the full lyrics. But then again, hunting and victory and mead really didn't stress the ability to recollect.

Steve drank slowly and gave another look around the room, wondering where the rest of the crew hand wandered off to.
