Um- I didn't have an appointment, but I thought you might be working late? [After hours in Stark Tower and even Pepper's loyal receptionist has clocked out.]

By now, Pepper working after hours was as commonplace as nighttime itself. Working overtime isn't something she plans on doing, rather, it's something that happens because Pepper, for whatever reason, can't bring herself to stop in the middle of a task. The problem is, she's always in the middle of a task. Hence why she doesn't even realize Bruce is outside her door until he actually speaks. At that point, her head shoots up in slight surprise as she offers a cheeky smile.

"Well, if you don't have an appointment, then clearly you're going to have to wait until you do." Obviously teasing, as evidenced by the way she actually does stop what she's doing this time and sits up a little straighter. "Come on in."
