[Playing Draw Something with a smile on her face until her iPhone begins to ring and Stephanie just stares down the device. The blonde starts arbitrarily poking at the screen to answer the call] H-hello? Hello, can you hear me? [She's answering pretty loudly if anyone's on the other side of the line.]

Some of the details are sensitive, and I'd like to discuss this in person. If I could arrange a meeting? [The line is secure, but Pepper finds herself wanting to meet this Captain she's heard so much about.]

Of course. Um. Do you know where Java House is?

[Her smile can be heard, if not seen.] I am aware of that, yes. Though I was hoping to send a car for you, if that's not too much trouble?

[There are times when Pepper can tear herself away from the company, but those are rare to the point of near extinction.]

Sure. Are you in trouble? [She hadn't met the woman Tony had credited with keeping his life in relative order but she was hardly going to refuse her]

Not as such, no. The car should be around in about fifteen minutes. I look forward to meeting you, Ms Rogers.

All right. ...Miss Potts? How do I hang up on this thing?

[At that, Pepper does laugh. It's a light and airy sound, not meant to be mean spirited.] ..just press the same button you answered with.

[With a chime, the conversation ended. Steph stayed where she was at until a sleek black car rolled up and a squat man asked for her. She grabbed her things and stepped into the car, wondering what it was Miss Potts wanted]

[One of Pepper's trusted associates escorts Ms Rogers to an office in one of the higher levels of Stark Tower. Where Pepper is waiting, and looking over a table that's covered in old newspapers.]

Good afternoon, Stephanie. I hope this wasn't an problem with your schedule? [Pepper greets her warmly, standing and offering a hand.]

No trouble at all. [She shakes her hand and smiles] I finally get to meet the famous Pepper Potts. Tony doesn't say much but talks of you often. [She looks around the office] You said that you needed something?

This may seem somewhat sudden, but I would like you to consider coming to work for me.

[There are a number of reasons why Pepper thinks this would work out well for both of them. A large part of it being the fact that she is fairly sure that Miss Rogers doesn't have an official role in the military anymore.] ...I can assure you that it would not interfere in your participation of the Avengers team.

Work? [She sounds surprised.] Um, if you don't mind me asking, Miss Potts, but what is it exactly you would like me to do?

[Pepper smiles a little softer. Need wasn't what prompted this interest as much as curiosity and practicality. An awful lot of people were going to be after Stephanie now. For the secrets her blood carried, to the simple fact that she was a walking, talking miracle event.

It was a little odd to think, but Stark Industries had an interest in the unusual.]

I thought that with your experience you could help me in personal security, and possibly in the area of antique collections. [Actually, Pepper blushes at that. It came out sounding a bit more rude than she intended. Obviously she's been spending far too much time around Tony these days.]

Antique, huh? [She chuckles a little bit] Yeah, I bet. Did Tony put you up to this? Saying that I need to be paraded around and stuffed into a glass box in a museum somewhere? [There's a bit of a dry look, Pepper.]

Mr Stark doesn't have enough interest in museums that he would suggest such a thing. He does have an interest in you however. [And the feeling is shared by Pepper.]

To be a little more blunt, Ms Rogers, a lot of people out there want you for themselves. We- Stark Industries, can at least offer you a neutral position to start from. We're out of the weapons game these days, and I'm hoping that you are too. [Pepper only wants to raise the point that, like it or not, Stephanie does possess the key to a kind of warfare that would unbalance things in their world.]

What exactly are you dancing around, Miss Potts? What is the position? [It was odd to hear Stark Industries not in the weapons game anymore. Sh wonders briefly if Howard would be rolling in his grave or if the man had changed since the years they have last seen each other]

Titles are negotiable, I think officially you would be considered a consultant.

A...consultant?

...I relize it's not the military lifestyle that you're used to.

What do you mean by consultant?

I mean, you would be paid well for any special information you may be able to give us on the topics that you are uniquely qualified for.

Miss Potts, it's very sweet you want to help me out but unless it's for antiquing, I can't do much consulting.
