His mouth was nearly against her cheek, his nose brushed over her ear. "You can do this. You will do this. -I need you to come back and find me."
With luck, Bruce would only have to distract them. He wanted to use the Hulk to lead the men away from Pepper. ...but no, even he didn't actually trust this would end peacefully.
"Three hours, Pepper. You have to wait that long or else-" Her safety would be a point of academics if she didn't.
Bruce pulled back, a glint of green that had to be pure fantasy flashed through his eyes. A grim smile fixed on his face, he turned away from her this time, popped the lock on the door and ducked out before he could change his mind.
